How a first visit works

A chat first, with no treatment unless you want it
Your first appointment can be a conversation in the chair or across a desk. Nothing happens until you say so.

A stop signal agreed before we start
Raise a hand and we stop. It is agreed before anything begins, and it is never questioned.

Longer appointments so nothing is rushed
We book nervous patients extra time, so there is room to pause, ask questions and take a breather.

Sedation available for some treatments after assessment
If you need more than reassurance, sedation can be arranged for suitable treatments once the dentist has assessed you.

Dr Andrew Bain MJDF is the founder of Harmoni Dental Kingston, a Bristol-trained dentist with nearly 30 years' experience who has completed over 600 Invisalign cases.
Andrew is known for a calm, unhurried manner and for helping patients overcome their fears without pressure. Several of our patients first came to him after years away from the dentist and have stayed for years since.

Sedation is available for some treatments after an assessment with the dentist. Most of our nervous patients find they do not need it once they have had a chat first, agreed a stop signal and been given a longer appointment, but the option is there if you want it. Call 020 3878 7465 to talk it through before you book.
A new patient check-up at Harmoni Dental Kingston is £50 (£25 for under-18s). If you would rather start with a conversation and no examination, say so when you book and we will keep the appointment to that.
